Screwball Spaces, Gowanus Canal’s newest addition of artists’ studios in Red Hook, Brooklyn, opens its doors to the public for a rare glimpse into the work spaces of New York’s contemporary artists.

With over 50 studios open everyone is sure to see something that piques interest, provokes responses and enlightens. Paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and all kinds of mixed media work that defies categorization will be on view. Visitors can engage in lively conversations with the artists and get an insider's look at artists in their working environments.

Screwball Spaces provides New York City visual artists affordable studio space with amenities within a vibrant community of working artists. Ninety-nine studios are situated on an enormous 40,000 square foot floor of a large industrial warehouse on the border between Red Hook, Brooklyn and the Gowanus Canal.
